The Whanganui Ratepayers and Residents Association (WRRA) is a community-driven group committed to representing the voices, concerns and aspirations of Whanganui’s residents and ratepayers. We are an independent association made up of local people who care deeply about the wellbeing, development and long-term sustainability of our district.
Our primary goal is to ensure that Whanganui’s governance remains transparent, accountable and responsive to the needs of its people. We advocate for fair rates, sound financial management, quality infrastructure and effective public services. By promoting strong community involvement in local decision-making, we strive to ensure that Council policies and investments align with the best interests of our residents.
We advocate for the residents and ratepayers of Whanganui - homeowners, renters, business owners and community members alike - who want their voices heard and their concerns addressed at the Council table. We welcome people from all backgrounds who are passionate about making Whanganui a better place to live, work and thrive.
